Governance

Lexicon Community is a volunteer-run working group governed in the open: a Technical Steering Committee, and self-formed working groups anyone can start. Decisions are made by consent, in public. The TSC's gate is pull request approval, after the work is done.

The mission: create an effective, active blueprint for collective ownership of Lexicons in the ATmosphere (the ecosystem of applications built on the AT Protocol), and build a stable and thoughtful lexicon that application, system, and SDK developers can rely on.

These documents are the source of truth for how the community operates. Each carries its effective date and a changelog, and the full history of every change lives in this site's repository.

Where governance happens

Proposals and discussion happen on the Lexicon Community forum. Official announcements are published on the blog and from @lexicon.community. The Technical Steering Committee meets monthly (first Thursday, 1:00 PM ET), with each meeting published as a community.lexicon.calendar.event record — find the next one on Smoke Signal.
